Nikki has been an artist all of her life, working in mediums such as oil and watercolor painting, airbrushing, charcoal and pencil drawing, or any other artistic medium that she could get her hands on. However, the last fourteen years of her life has essentially been dedicated to the ancient art form of tattooing. Being a self taught artist (in all forms) is a long and hard road that leads through the school of Hard Knocks, but taking her inspiration from other female tattooists such as industry pioneers Judy Parker, Shanghai Kate, Sharon Brouse and Telisa swan, Nikki persevered to become the phenomenal tattooist she is today.
Specializing in Realism, Portrait and Cover-up tattooing Nikki is however always open to tattooing all types of industry genres from Traditional through Tribal. In the most loving and respectful way possible, it would be very easy to call her an art nerd. The subject matter and medium are only tools for her to get to the greater joy and excitement of actually creating the art itself. And this love of art can been seen in each and every tattoo she creates. Also, speaking of nerdy and geeky….
Don’t forget when you come into Pikes Peak to meet Ms. Pettis and look through her amazing portfolio of work to also feel free and talk with her about any and all video games, anything about netflix, her BennyKat, or anything else that would qualify as awesome or cool in Geek World, as this is where she lives.
Love ya Nik!!!!
