The word tattoo is said to has two major derivations- from the polynesian word ‘ta’ which means striking something and the tahitian word ‘tatau’ which means ‘to mark something’.

the history of tattoo began over 5000 years ago and is as diverse as the people who wear them.

tattoos are created by inserting colored materials beneath the skins surface. the first tattoos probably were created by accident. someone had a small wound, and rubbed it with a hand that was dirty with soot and ashes from the fire. once the wound had healed, they saw that a mark stayed permanently.

Tattoo Prices:

• Our studios have a $60 minimum charge.
• Our hourly rates for tattooing vary, but start at $100 per hour.
• Oftentimes we work ‘by the piece’, where a design is pre-priced, or we work by the ‘session’ where a client pays a set fee for several hours of tattooing.

Piercing Prices:
(Currently Available Only at our Wood Ave. Location)

• Navel, Nostril, Ear Lobe, Helix, Tongue and Eyebrow = $20
• Lip, Labret, Nipple, and Ear (other than lobe/helix) = $30
• Industrial, Orbital, Septum, Bridge, Cheek = $40
• Surface and Genital Piercings = $50
• Specialty Piercings = $50 - $80
  

Tattoo Removal:

Minimum per session is $80.
Some design removal may require multiple sessions, at additional charge.
